I am happy to announce our new virtual book club! When I set out to start The New Warehouse I wanted to make sure that we could find a way to keep each other in the industry connected and be able to keep sharing thoughts and ideas for the better of our industry. My hope is that this virtual book club will be a way to connect with a lot of you on a different level and be able to share insights from what we learn together through reading. The concept is simple, pick a book through suggestion or recommendation read on our own together and share insights through email or through the blog comment section. My goal for you is to be able to then provide a podcast episode with the author as a guest.

The first book will be The Future of Packaging: From Linear to Circular by Tom Szaky. Tom is the CEO of Terracycle which focuses on making the unrecyclable recyclable. I chose this as the first book because I believe that we create a lot of waste in our industry and we need to be conscious of this and how to combat it. Additionally, Terracycle’s new project Loop will be launching soon and if you are not familiar then you should read about it right away. I am saying it now that it will change the supply chain in a big way.
